Connor Bedard has been a star since entering the NHL, but the one thing he has struggled with is the physicality of the game, especially since suffering a broken jaw already in his rookie year.
Connor Bedard lays the boom on Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane
On Sunday, Blackhawks icon Patrick Kane returned for the first time since being traded to the Rangers a season ago, and after an emotional reunion, things got physical in a hurry.
Connor Bedard kind of laid out Patrick Kane...
This was the first real hint of aggression and physicality from the young Bedard, and while Kane is no longer with the team, you have to imagine he was impressed by the 18-year old in this moment.
Bedard's strength will never be his physicality, but if he can make plays like this and hold his own to pair with his incredible skill set, we could be looking at one of the best players of this entire generation.
