Could the Colorado Avalanche soon have captain Gabriel Landeskog back for the 1st time since he lifted the Stanley Cup with them in the summer of 2022?

The Colorado Avalanche have had to play without captain Gabriel Landeskog for the last several years thanks to complications from a leg injury, which were further compounded by issues that arose after his cartilage transplant surgery in 2023.
As stated by Avalanche general manager Chris MacFarland on Monday, Landeskog is continuing his rehabilitation process.
Gabe continues to rehab. He's grinding hard every single day, but I don't foresee him joining practice like in the next day or two, or week or two here.

So I think you guys can figure out where this is, where this is going. But hopefully it'll keep going well.
The last time that Landeskog was on the ice in game action was June of 2022 in Game 6 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
What are the chances that Landeskog potentially makes a return to the Avalanche lineup at some point in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, three years after he last played?
Per MacFarland, he didn't completely shut down the idea.
There's a chance - hope.Obviously I can't predict the future, but he continues to rehab. He's not practicing with the team yet. I mean, it's two and a half years and you're not practicing with the team in early March.

We're going to continue to take it week by week here. But he is grinding. He is doing everything he can. It's just, I didn't think June 26, 2022 that the injury would be three years, right? So I don't know. There's no playbook for this. We'll just continue to chip away at it. And he's doing everything he can that I know. So we'll see where it goes.

Landeskog was selected 2nd overall by the Avalanche in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, and he's played his entire career with the club. He has 571 points (248G, 323A) in 738 games.
