The Dallas Stars held a celebration for Mike Modano last night, in which they honoured him by unveiling a statue for the veteran, which was met with emotions.

There is no question that when you think of the Dallas Stars and legends who have played for the team, Mike Modano is the first name to pop into your head. In 1499 career games played, Modano has 561 career goals and 813 career assists for 1374 points, which is incredible.
The Stars were honouring Modano last night, unveiling a statue of him that will honour his legacy for the club long into the future.
It didn't take long for Modano to get emotional, as he choked up during his speech right away, which is completely understandable when you are looking at a statue of yourself.

Modano is a Legendary Player and Should be Immortalized For All of the NHL
Modano is one of the true hockey greats, absolutely dominating on offence and seemingly scoring at will. There is hardly a game that went by where Modano wasn't involved. Modano won a Stanley Cup with the Stars, proving that he was talented and good enough to bring the City of Dallas a championship.
