Oilers players come into defense for Darnell Nurse and his contract
The Edmonton Oilers seem to be in defense for Darnell Nurse and his contract amid all the criticism going around on social media.
Darnell Nurse has had one of those seasons where you wish the team didn't hand out such a lengthy contract. Making 9.5M, Nurse hasn't exactly been the "it" factor during their playoff run however they aren't looking back, with the them beating the Dallas Stars in 6 earning them a ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals versus the Florida Panthers.
In fact, the Edmonton Oilers continue to defend Nurses' contract and himself as they feel it's not his fault he was handed such a contract.
Elliotte Friedman on 32 Thoughts:
#LetsGoOilers players get angry when Darnell Nurse gets criticized for making $9,500,000 a year. They believe it is not fair for him to get criticized him because he was offered that contract.
Luckily, Nurse is taking the criticism well as he was a crucial factor during last night's series clinching win over the powerhouse Dallas Stars.
Darnell Nurse was worth every penny in game six.
