New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba comments on their third-round loss
Jacob Trouba and the New York Rangers fell to the Florida Panthers in the Eastern Conference Finals last night and will now go home with empty hands.
The 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs have been quite entertaining thus far. Last night the Panthers eliminated the New York Rangers, the Presidents Trophy winning team, as they made it evident that they were the better team.
Following the loss, New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba spoke on it and shared that he felt that the Rangers had it in them to go all the way.
#NYR captain Jacob Trouba: «What we built as a team here, it just felt special this year. It felt like we had something in this room. It was a bond. Probably too soon to elaborate.»
Trouba came under fire for being a key part of why the Rangers conceded the first goal of the game last night as he tried to play the body and completely missed.
Trouba failing to stop the Panthers from advancing put the Rangers in a tough spot where Sam Bennett was able to net the opening goal.
It looks like this may have been the difference between the Rangers winning and losing as it was only a one-goal game last night.
Trouba will now sit home and watch the Panthers compete against the winner of the Dallas Stars vs. Edmonton Oilers series for the Stanley Cup.
