The Four Nations Face Off had the entire sports world talking, and after Matthew Tkachuk, J.T. Miller and Brady Tkachuk dropped the gloves against Team Canada, we saw an interest level in hockey that is rarely seen in North America.
Although the Canadians would come out on top and claim yet another gold medal in best-on-best international play, Matthew Tkachuk would remain in the spotlight, as he has now appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
During his appearance, the Florida Panthers and Team USA star would break down just how much this game against Canada meant to him, stating that for him, despite winning the Stanley Cup last year, the Finale was the biggest and most important hockey game he's ever been a part of.
That was reflected in the viewership numbers as well, as over 16 million people watched the game in North America, and while he would only play six minutes due to injury, the Panthers star gave it everything he had.
Just as much as this game meant to him, playing alongside his brother clearly meant an immense amount as well, with Matthew stating how incredible it was to play alongside Brady, as the two will likely do the same at the 2026 Olympic Games.
While the Tonight Show may not be as big as it once was, it's still great for the NHL to get one of their hottest names in the spotlight like this, and with the increased coverage, it can only be seen as a major win for the league.
