Canadiens Defenseman Suspended For Dirty Slash On Flyers Forward
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle has been suspended one game after he slashed Flyers forward Travis Konecny in their game today.
The 22-year-old Montreal Canadiens has had an up and down season in his second year with the club. He has 6 goals and 21 points in 68 games, a slight step back from his scoring pace in his rookie season. However, he's taken on a bigger role with the club and improved defensively. That being said, his temperment got himself in trouble today as he slashed Travis Konecny from the bench as he was skating by.

The Department of Player Safety responded quickly by giving Guhle a hearing after the game.
Montreal's Kaiden Guhle will have a hearing today for slashing Philadelphia's Travis Konecny.
The hearing resulted in just a one-game suspension for the young defenseman, the first of his NHL career.
Montreal's Kaiden Guhle has been suspended for one game for slashing Philadelphia's Travis Konecny.
Guhle was drafted in the first round, 16th overall by the Canadiens in 2020. Since then he has become a key member of the team's blueline. He will look to help get the team to their first playoff birth since 2021 next season as the team looks to come out of their quick rebuild.
