The New Jersey Devils came into 2023-24 looking like a major Stanley Cup contender, but seemingly everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, and now they've made a big change.
Lindy Ruff officially fired by the New Jersey Devils
Less than a week out from the trade deadline, the New Jersey Devils sit eight points out of a playoff spot, and now, it's officially cost veteran coach Lindy Ruff his job.
#NEWS: We have relieved Lindy Ruff of his head coaching duties and named Associate Coach Travis Green as Interim Head Coach for the rest of the season.
With such a loaded roster, this is a team that should have been competing for top spot in the NHL, but with questionable lineup choices and poor game management, it was clear that Ruff was a major issue.
The team have now appointed Travis Green as Interim Head Coach with the goal of chasing down a playoff spot in the East, and with a big deadline ahead, we could see even more changes coming very soon.
