As one of the most exciting young players in the NHL, many fans will tune in to see Jack Hughes, but unfortunately he will miss a showdown with the Maple Leafs.
Auston Matthews has been on a tear as of late, and with so many exciting matchups in the next week, the Maple Leafs have become must-watch, but unfortunately, one of their star opponents will now miss their Tuesday night showdown.
After suffering a tough injury that limited him early in the season, young star Jack Hughes will now miss this matchup with what is being ruled as an upper body injury.

While the New Jersey Devils are likely to miss the playoffs anyway, any chance they had at a miracle run could now be gone, as the team need to prioritize Hughes' long-term health, but for now, all we know is that he will miss this high profile matchup.
#NJDevils star Jack Hughes could be done for the year.
Travis Green shut him down tonight and said "we'll see" when asked if he's out long-term.
Pressed on when it happened, Green said: "I've already said what I'm going to say.. he's not in tonight."
