Matt Rempe didn't have quite the rookie year he was hoping for with the New York Rangers last season, as he only ended up playing in 17 games, but he definitely threw his body around and had some big fights in the games he did play. He is quickly becoming a fan favorite in New York for his style of play and for the way he acts around the fans, and he just scored more brownie points.
As he was walking out of a training session a few days ago, Rempe was asked by fans waiting around the area if he would be able to sign some autographs. Rempe agreed, and then one female fan demanded that Rempe sign her skin!
It's normal to see fans stretch out their arms so that some players can ink a tattoo of their name directly on them, but this one fan took it an extra step, as she asked Rempe to sign her neck, while another woman nearby asked for Rempe's autograph on her face!
All it took was Rempe's 17 games and he's already left enough of an impression on the fans for them to want his name tattooed directly onto their faces and necks.
In the 17 games that Rempe played, he only managed one goal and one assist. He also played in 11 playoff games, and saw his ice time drop game after game, where by the time he reached Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Rempe had only seen 2:43 of ice-time.
