Sean Couturier's Fate in Philadelphia Has Been Revealed
After being scratched for two games in a row by Head Coach John Tortorella, Sean Couturier has learned his fate in Philadelphia for tonight's game.
Sean Couturier has been mysteriously scratched for the past two games for the Philadelphia Flyers. With head coach John Tortorella refusing to answer questions about his decision to scratch Couturier, there has been a lot of speculation regarding the reason why he hasn't been in the lineup.
Even Couturier's agent has not been told why he is being scratched, as he revealed in an interview that it has not been made clear why Couturier is being punished and kept out of the lineup.
From my point of view, when I saw the news (Couturier was scratched), I'm like, I really hope the communication why and the reasons why are really clear. I hope he's going to get an explanation soon because he's the captain, a leader of the team, and he has Philadelphia' tattooed on his chest since he got drafted. That's why he wanted to sign there and to sign a long contract. I hope he's going to get that respect from John Tortorella.
Sean Couturier will return to the lineup for tonight's game against the Boston Bruins.
According to insider Anthony SanFilippo, Sean Couturier will return to the lineup tonight ending his streak of being healthy scratched.
I'm told Sean Couturier will be back in the lineup for the @NHLFlyers today.
Clearly, there is some tension between the Flyers' captain and Head Coach, which is embarrassing for the franchise. This is exactly the opposite of what the team needs heading into an important stretch ahead of the playoffs. The two will need to set aside their differences in order to put the team first, and hopefully make an impact in the post-season.
