Ryan Reaves has just been spotted at practice wearing this piece of protective equipment after sustaining an injury during a fight with Nicolas Deslauriers.

Ryan Reaves and Nicolas Deslauriers had one of the fights of the season the other night, as the two heavyweights continued the trend of bringing fighting back in the NHL. They exchanged some major blows, and unfortunately, this resulted in an injury sustained by Ryan Reaves.

As a result, Ryan Reaves was spotted at practice yesterday wearing a new piece of equipment, a visor. Reaves is one of the few players in the NHL that is able to play without one, however, it looks like he may sport one to protect his eye.

Now wearing a visor" Mark Masters of TSN said.

Ryan Reaves is trying to bring back toughness to the NHL and to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He has been a vocal advocate for violence in the NHL, and of course, thinks that there is a place to have fighting in hockey. This comes as Matt Rempe has been making waves this year in the NHL as the next big tough guy, fighting both Reaves and Deslauriers.

Ryan Reaves, on the other hand, is trying to keep his spot in the lineup. He has been in and out this season and is still trying to maintain his status on the Leaf's fourth line.

We will see if Ryan Reaves can stay in the lineup and if he is sporting some new equipment come game time.
