Former Penguin Forward Passes Away Suddenly At Age 42

The winger suddenly passed away today at the age of 42 according to Belarusian sources. He was reportedly in Miami with his girlfriend and star tennis player Aryna Sabalenka.

Belarusian hockey news pages are reporting the passing of former hockey player Konstantin Koltsov (unconfirmed yet), who is also Sabalenka's boyfriend.
I just hope it's somehow untrue

As the news has spread around the hockey world, many have paid their respects to the former Penguin.

RIP Konstantin Koltsov 🙏 #Salavat #LetsGoPens

42 is far too young. Man.

Koltsov played in 144 career NHL games between 2002 and 2006, all with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He had 12 goals and 38 points in his short NHL career. He did however, have a long successful career in the KHL where he spent ten seasons split between Salavat Yulaev and Atlant Mytishchi.
