Four teams emerge as suitors for a potential Tristan Jarry trade
Despite Tristan Jarry having signed a five-year contract last summer, Pittsburgh Penguins fans were already mentioning him in trade rumors.
On every Penguins live chat and on sports radio shows in the city, the question regarding Jarry's future with the Penguins always gets brought up. The reason for this is that the Penguins have two goalie prospects who seem to be ready to make the jump to the NHL a lot sooner than initially anticipated, and Jarry has a very cap-friendly yearly salary of $5.375 million, which many teams could be salivating over.
Now there are four, potentially even five teams that come to mind as potential suitors for Jarry.
Perhaps next summer, the Ottawa Senators realize they're not going to re-sign Linus Ullmark, or things don't go well in Buffalo or Detroit. Jarry would be a perfect option for those teams.
It's hard to know who will be in the market for a goalie at the NHL trade deadline. Injuries, surprise ineffectiveness, or general dissatisfaction could create an opening we don't anticipate (Colorado and Utah spring to mind). Dubas wants draft picks and young players urgently, but first, he must honor the players in the locker room by keeping the best NHL roster he can. "I really do believe it is the prelude to something else... I do think he's been at least talking to Anaheim about John Gibson. I've also heard Tristan Jarry."

@mattymar89 The Penguins need to approach the Jarry situation with caution, as they would be foolish to trade him before one of their two goalie prospects is even ready to make the jump to the NHL. We are likely finding ourselves in a situation where we are right back where we are next year during the summer, discussing Jarry trade rumors once again.
