St. Louis Blues announce a change in head office
The St. Louis Blues have announced a notable shift in their ownership lineup. David Steward, a founding member of the group that acquired the Blues in 2012, has transferred his ownership stake to Michael W. Riney, a lifelong St. Louis resident. This change preserves the all-local ownership structure of the team.
New Member Joins St. Louis Blues Ownership Group
Tom Stillman, Blues Chairman, expressed gratitude for Steward's unwavering support and commitment to the team over the years.
«Dave Steward was a key member of the St. Louis-based ownership group that we assembled in 2012,» said Stillman. «His support has been steadfast ever since, and we are grateful for Dave's commitment to the Blues and to St. Louis. We are pleased to welcome Michael Riney to our ownership group. Like all members of the group, Michael has a passion for the Blues and a strong commitment to St. Louis. The rest of the group will remain the same as we work toward a successful 2024-25 season.»
Welcoming Michael Riney to the group, Stillman noted Riney's deep-rooted passion for the Blues and his commitment to the local community. Riney, Founder and Managing Director of QRM Capital, is actively involved in private investments and philanthropic efforts in St. Louis, alongside his wife, Quirsis. The couple supports numerous local civic organizations, and Michael serves on the boards of Washington University, the Danforth Plant Science Center, and the Missouri Botanical Garden.
With this new addition, the Blues' ownership team remains strong as they aim for a successful 2024-25 season. The group includes notable local figures such as Donn Lux, Jerald Kent, James Cooper, and many others.
