Scott Gomez Shares His Thoughts On Who Leaked the J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson Feud
With Jim Rutherford's statement confirming the feud between Elias Petterson and J.T. Miller, many more questions were raised about the delicate situation.
If you missed it, here's what the Canucks' President said:
"I felt like for a long time that there was a solution here because everybody has worked on it, including the parties involved.
But it only gets resolved for a short period and then it festers again and so it certainly appears like there's not a good solution that would keep this group together."
Scott Gomez was notably asked to share his thoughts on the ongoing drama in the latest episode of the Cam and Strick podcast.
According to him, other players in the team are likely responsible for all the details that were leaked.
He stated that most players not involved in the feud being asked about the team's struggles could be tempted to pinpoint the issues on Pettersson and Miller to take some of that heat off their shoulders.
In his own words:
"Who leaked it got out, you're the guy that you know - and a lot of times, who knows if it is someone else leaking it out, just the fact that it takes the pressure off me. I haven't done anything."
"As long as I get the pressure off me then yeah. The bottom line is we're losing and we're going to blame these two or you know like some one of you guys come out and say what the hell happened? Because I am getting sick of answering the same question every day of these two."
"Maybe if there's a problem, those two guys address it and not joke about it because as the other teammates, I'm going in the room every day in a Canadian city and I have to answer what's wrong with this team? because these two guys whatever supposedly don't like each other."
