Vancouver Canucks diss star forward Brock Boeser in contract negotiations
Brock Boeser is due for a new contract next offseason and is being put on the back burner despite his strong play.
Recently NHL insider Frankie Corrado provided an update on Brock Boeser showing things are not going well for the Canucks star forward.
According to Frankie Corrado of TSN, Brock Boeser's contract extension may not be a priority for them this summer, as they want to wait and see how he performs during the 2024-25 season.
Boeser is coming off a strong 40-goal 73-point year with the Canucks proving to be one of their best players, especially in the playoffs where he led the Canucks in points with seven goals and 12 points in 12 games.
Boeser missed the final Canucks game of the 2024 playoffs with a blood clotting issue that may be preventing the Canucks from investing time into a potential contract extension.
Sounds like #Canucks Brock Boeser's blood clot developed in his leg, something team medical staff found after Game 6.
He has been placed on blood thinning medication and is not expected to be available to play again this season.
Brutal break for #Canucks' leading goal scorer.
Hopefully, Boeser will be ready for game one of the 2024-25 season and earn his next contract.
