The Arizona Coyotes have made a massive splash today by buying out two of their veteran players. The move comes just days after the Oliver Ekman-Larsson buyout, which was a contract signed by Arizona.
Kassian and Nemeth Bought Out
The Coyotes have placed Zach Kassian and Patrick Nemeth on unconditional waivers for the purpose of buying out the remained of their contracts. Kassian was acquired by Arizona at last year's NHL Entry Draft and had one more year on his deal.
The news was first reported by Elliotte Friedman but has since been confirmed by other insiders.
It looks like Arizona is clearing out cap space for something big, so keep your eye on the Coyotes!
