Matvei Michkov Reportedly Forcing Some Teams Not to Draft Him
Matvei Michkov has been at the center of a lot of rumors in the last months. He's an extremely talented player. If he wasn't Russian, there would be no debate: he'd be drafted right behind Connor Bedard. Unfortunately, the political situation in Russia complicates things.
Because of that, some experts even predicted that he won't be chosen in the top five. It makes sense, because Michkov reportedly knows where he'll play and they have the eight overall pick.
Michkov in Washington?
Recent reports suggest that Michkov is making a push to play with Alex Ovechkin in Washington.

Russian report says Matvei Michkov most likely to be drafted by Capitals: "You'll see"
Apparently, Michkov won't talk to NHL teams and this could complicate their decision making process. They could decide to pass on him because of that.
RMNB is sure that the Caps are ready to take him if he's available at the 8th rank.
Do you think Michkov will still be available at the 8th pick?
