We already know that Jonathan Toews will not be returning to the Chicago Blackhawks next season, but this recent announcement changes everything.
Toews Considering Retirement
Jonathan Toews' agent Pat Brisson has just come out with a massive statement regarding the veteran center's future in the NHL.
Jonathan Toews' agent Pat Brisson says that Toews will not be a day 1 free agent signing and that he is still deliberating his future and whether or not he wants to continue playing. - Frank Seravalli
Apparently, Toews' future in the NHL isn't as set in stone as we once believed. While many fans assumed Toews would move on with a new team this summer, it looks as though he might not sign anywhere.
We hope to continue seeing Toews play next season but will wait for his final decision.
