It was announced yesterday afternoon that the NHL would be banning Pride Night warmup jerseys for the 2023-24 NHL season. The decision came after a season filled with boycotts from both fans and players alike, and Bettman claims that the move will be good for the game. Many fans disagreed with the move, and it looks like the Chicago Blackhawks feel the same way.

Hawks Mock Bettman

The Chicago Blackhawks took to Twitter this morning with a very interesting post, which made their stance on the ongoing Pride Nigth jersey debate very clear.

The tweet announced that the Blackhawks would be marching alongside Chicago Gay Hockey this Sunday at the Chicago Pride Parade. The Blackhawks will be driving the cleverly named "Glamboni", which is a hockey zamboni covered in the Pride flag, with a Blackhawks logo on the side.

Having posted this less than 24 hours after Bettman's ban on Pride jerseys, it's pretty clear that this was in response to the decision.

Fans React to Blackhawks Post

The post on Twitter was met with mixed reactions from fans, with some praising the team, and others voicing their frustration.

It's clear that this is still a very delicate issue, but the Blackhawks don't seem to care.
