Some players are ready to make the NHL jump, some need more time to develop, and some just never quite get accustomed to the NHL game. We see all the time players play amazing in the AHL or KHL, but the NHL is a whole different animal and sometimes players cannot make the jump.
Rob Schremp is a perfect example of a player who possessed unbelieveable skill, he absolutely dominated in juniors and in the European leagues, even in the AHL he had great seasons, but he could never make that NHL jump. When it came to skill, Schremp possessed an elite set of hands, so it just goes to show that sometimes people dont pan out.
Today the Boston Bruins announced that they were putting one of their prospects on waivers for the purpose of contract termination.
BOS has Victor Berglund on unconditional waivers for the purposes of contract termination Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) December 8, 2022
Victor Berglund was drafted by the Bruins 195th overall back in 2017. He has split the last few seasons between the AHL, ECHL and SweHL.
