Earlier today we saw the Vegas Golden Knights trade Shea Weber's contract to the Arizona Coyotes, and now we have another trade to announce.
We are just 10 days away from the 2023 NHL trade deadline and things are really starting to get exciting!
It was just announced that the Ottawa Senators have traded their defenceman Nikita Zaitsev to the Chicago Blackhawks for a second in 2023 and fourth 2026.
a second in 2023 and fourth 2026 for future considerations to Chicago
Zaitsev has one season left after this year on a 7 year contract with an AAV of $4,500,000. He had requested a trade out of Ottawa on multiple occasions apparently, and the Senators were also trying to move him out, but until now it was to no success.
Zaitsev also had a limited no trade clause, but Chicago was not on his no trade list.
