BREAKING : Sens Forward Suspended For Sports Betting
The National Hockey League is suspending RFA Ottawa Senators Forward Shane Pinto for Sports Betting, according to multiple reports.
Pinto Suspended By League For Sports Gambling
The NHL is suspending Shane Pinto, currently a Restricted Free Agent of the Ottawa Senators, on what is reported to be related to sports wagering, multiple reports confirm.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Pinto will be suspended 41 Games for violating the NHL's rule on sports betting. Pinto, currently unsigned by Ottawa, has until December 1st to sign. According to Senators Reporter Bruce Garrioch, Pinto may have to sign a contract to serve his suspension. Betting on games is prohibited by the league, with this being the first announced NHL suspension due to sports betting.
Pinto, a 2nd Round Pick of Ottawa in the 2019 NHL Draft, had 20 Goals and 35 Points in 82 Games for the Senators last season.
