The 2023 NHL offseason is in full swing, and as we approach the draft and free agency, trades are bound to start picking up. With many teams on the hunt to stay competitive, it will likely be a seller's market.
Leafs Interested in Laughton
A recent report by David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period suggests that the Leafs could make a hard push for Flyers forward Scott Laughton this summer. Laughton has already garnered plenty of interest on the trade market, with reports stating that the Flyers have already turned down a first-round pick for him.
With Toronto set to lose one of their top contributors, Michael Bunting, to free agency this summer, Laughton and his team-friendly cap hit could be a great replacement.
The Leafs would likely have to offer up their first-round pick in this year's draft, as well as a prospect or roster player. Perhaps a package of Nick Robertson, Victor Mete, and the Leafs' first-round pick (originally owned by Boston).
