It was announced before game time that Colorado Avalanche goaltender Darcy Kuemper was injured and would be unavailable for tonight's game. Due to the proximity and location, the Colorado Avalanche had no choice but to turn to an emergency back up goal.
This will likely immediately strike fear in the hearts of Toronto Sports Fans as they likely remember the David Ayers situation from two seasons ago.
University of Toronto, goaltender Jett Alexander will serve as the backup goalie tonight for the Avalanche. Let's hope for both Alexander's and the Maple Leaf sake this doesn't become EBUG 2.0
