After the Minnesota Wild resigned Marc-Andre Fleury, they've had an interesting situation developing between goaltender Cam Talbot's agent George Bazos and General Manager, Bill Guerin on the draft floor in Montreal.
According to TSN's Pierre Lebrun, it sounds like Talbot wants out of Minnesota immediately.
We both stated our position and Billy has a lot to think about.
This statement by Bazos clearly didn't go over will with Guerin. Not too long ago, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic, Guerin responded saying:
«I don't have shit to do. Cam Talbot's under contract. George can say whatever the hell he wants. My team's set right now, and that's the way it goes. We can have all the discussions we want. Cam's a member of our team. We really like Cam. All we're trying to do is win.
It seems as Guerin is bringing the same tenacity he did as a player to his role as GM. General Managers do not owe anything to a player and his main goal is to make his team better, which he did. He should not he getting strong armed into trying to trade his goaltender.
