A few SHORT years after sending a letter to fans stating that the New York Rangers would be entering a rebuild, they just made it to game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Yesterday the team had their exit interviews and Chris Kreider got a little emotional. Kreider showed through the playoffs and regular season that during press conferences he would always stand up for his teammates, and how much respect he has for them.
One player in particular though, Kreider has a lot of respect for. Since the trade of Ryan McDonagh in 2018, the Rangers have not had a captain, but for the past few seasons Zibanejad and Kreider have been wearing an 'A'. These two are also the top candidates to become the teams next captain, and from the sounds of it, Kreider would be very happy to see Zibanejad wear the 'C'.
