According to Elliotte Friedman the Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong is currently gauging the market value for star Defenseman Jakob Chychrun.
Chychrun had been viewed as an untouchable in Arizona but with things heading south fast it appears Arizona is trying to strip their franchise of all value in an attempt to draft Shane Wright.
Friedman shared this information in his 32 Thoughts:
Arizona GM Bill Armstrong refused to comment when asked, but it now sounds like the Coyotes are gauging the market on Jakob Chychrun. I've heard the ask is massive, but that doesn't mean opponents are running away. He's signed for three more years at a very reasonable $4.6 million AAV and is a terrific player. This is one to watch.
Chychrun is the type of dman every team should covet and will likely garner a ton of interest.
