Gauthier Opens Up About Getting Traded
Today Cutter Gauthier spoke for the first time in an interview with the Light The Lamp Podcast affiliated with the Anaheim Ducks. When asked about the reasons for wanting to be traded he kept things fairly close to the vest.
Cutter Gauthier on Ducks podcast regarding trade: "It's tough to talk about. I'd like to announce that it's a personal matter between myself, my family, my agent Kurt (Overhart).
Despite not outing the reasons he felt a change was necessary he did address some of the rumors that were floating around the internet.
Gauthier Addresses Rumors Surrounding His Exit From Philadelphia
One of the major storylines that Cutter Gauthier did address was his connection to Kevin Hayes. He admitted he was close with Hayes but in no way did Hayes have any impact on the situation.
I did see one thing going around the Internet that I'd like to specifically address about the rumors about Kevin Hayes and I'd like to officially say that he had zero conflict with anything that had to do with the trade.
Other than clearing Kevin Hayes of any involvement Gauthier mostly just wanted to put the situation behind him. As of now, it seems as though we might never know the true reasons that Gauthier decided to leave Philadelphia.
One thing is for sure regardless of the reasons Gauthier has made himself a villain in the city of Philadelphia for the rest of his career.
