Play-by-play announcer Sean McDonough was describing a play being made by one of the best players in the hockey league in Nathan MacKinnon and needless to say, many fans are a little outraged.

ESPN is going to be covering the NHL for another 6 years and over these next 6 years let's hope they can either get a little more knowledge when it comes to the game, or come up with some better jokes, because this one certainly was not funny.
Sean McDonough just said MacKinnon had no talent.......even though that's a joke it just sounds so stupid. 𝙉𝙤𝙖𝙝 👑 (@CrosbyWRLD) June 16, 2022
Totally agree with everything you said. My only gripes are
A) Sean McDonough is not a hockey broadcaster. He's not good. So many plays go *excitement increasing* «MacKinnon, what a move, breaks to the net» and then he isn't sure if it was a save or not and he says NOTHING BretzK'Andre (@BretzkyMusic) June 16, 2022
@espn where your announcers at? Give me @RycroftMark & @kylekeefetv real hockey fans. Or at least some hockey guys
