FIGHT: Heavyweight Jamie Benn Drops The Gloves With Pat Maroon
Jamie Benn has dropped the gloves with Pat Maroon in a viral heavyweight bout.
Benn Fights Maroon
Last Night, Jamie Benn and the Dallas Stars got a bit scrappy against the Minnesota Wild. Benn is known for being one of the more violent players in the NHL so when the opportunity to drop the gloves with Pat Maroon came up, Benn couldn't say no.
In the final 10 minutes of the game, following a goal from Wild prospect Marco Rossi, Jamie Benn decided he had enough and went toe to toe with Pat Maroon.
Too much happening, Rossi pots one home, and Maroon takes on Benn. #mnwild
Pat Marroon vs. Jamie Benn
With it being a heavyweight bout, it is hard to say who exactly won but given how Maroon got more blows in, he seems to have gotten the upper hand.
It was later reported that Benn had popcorn thrown on him by a fan and he got into an altercation with a fan but there is no video of the instance unfortunately.
A fan just threw popcorn at Jamie Benn in the penalty box and now he's screaming at the fans. This is turning ugly
This is clearly bad blood from these two teams' playoff series last year and it is exciting to see their rivalry getting stronger and stronger.
As seen on Hockey Feed - Maroon and Benn drop the gloves on Saturday night!
