If you're a hockey fan, there's a good chance you're tuning into the Stanley Cup Finals tonight, as Florida looks to even their series with Vegas. While many fans are content watching from the comfort of their homes, for those Panthers fans who can afford it, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see your time live in the Stanley Cup Final.
FLA Live Arena Hinders Mood
While getting to attend a Stanley Cup Final game is a privilege that anyone should enjoy regardless of the outcome, there are certainly things that can frustrate fans. One of those things is price gouging, and it looks like FLA Live Arena is taking that to the extreme.
The cost to park your car at FLA Live Arena for game four of the Stanley Cup Final is $100 before tax. If you're shocked by that number, so are we.
Many fans wondered how you can even rationalize charging that much to park, but the answer is pretty simple. It's a high-demand event, and people will go to desperate measures to see their team in this situation.
Fans Bite Back
Fans were quick to anger following the news of these outrageous prices, and the replies to FLA Live Arena's Twitter are quite funny. Check them out:
Safe to say the decision isn't popular, and FLA Live Arena knows it. Hopefully, the prices go down in the event that there's another Stanley Cup game played in Florida this series.
