NHL players aren't usually very outspoken guys, and don't often talk to the media about their former coaches, good or bad. It's kind of an unspoken rule, what happens in the locker room stays in the locker room. Despite this, an anonymous app called Sports Aux allows players to review their former coaches after completing a verification process. This app seems to be causing all sorts of issues, and apparently the identities aren't too secret anymore.

Carcillo Exposed as Anonymous Reviewer

Former NHL player Dan Carcillo seems to have gone on a reviewing spree on the app, leaving about a dozen reviews on his former professional hockey coaches. Not all were negative, and Carcillo had some extremely nice things to say to counterbalance some of the negative comments. It doesn't appear as though Carcillo tried too hard to hide his identity, as one user on Reddit was able to deduce that it was him leaving the reviews thanks to the app's verification process.

Dan Carcillo posted the review of Sutter on Sports Auth. Here's his other reviews of other coaches thru his career. (Proof below)

The most notable review was towards recently fired Flames coach Darryl Sutter, whom which Carcillo had no positive things to say. He claimed that he was the most negative person he'd ever met, and that Sutter was prone to belittling players. This doesn't seem too out of character for Sutter, who has a reputation as a tough coach.

It wasn't all negative, however, and Carcillo had specific comments towards the Great One himself, Wayne Gretzky.

«Can't say a bad word about The Great One. He gave me a long leash in PHX.»

The list goes on and on, and it's quite an entertaining read. You can find the link to the full list of reviews on the Reddit post, or here
