While Lightning coach Jon Cooper refused to give the Toronto Maple Leafs any credit for their win on Monday 5-0 over the Bolts, you need to admit that the Maple Leafs shocked everyone (besides Leafs fans) and played one hell of a game!

Many have the back-to-back Stanley cup champions pegged in to destroy the Maple Leafs in this series, but the Leafs definitely thought otherwise in game 1 as they beat Tampa up and down the ice all game long.

In the first period the Lightning had a 5 minute powerplay, which many of us figured they would probably score atleast 2, well, they hardly even registered 2 shots. I believe the Leafs ended up with more scoring chances shorthanded than the Bolts did on the powerplay.

But regardless of how game 1 went, the Leafs still need to win 3 more games and this stat is something the Leafs should definitely be concerned about.

Not only were the Lightning off their game to start this series, Vasilevskiy played very poorly. Expect that to change in game 2 and judging by this stat, I wouldn't want to be playing against him.
