Jack Eichel had success disk replacement surgery on November 12th and the timeline for his return at the time was unclear. It was said it could be anywhere from 2-5 months depending on how his healing progressed. Earlier this week it was shared that Jack Eichel was skating on his own in North Carolina.
Well it appears the timeline for his return is getting even more clear.
According to John Buccigross, Jack Eichel has been cleared to take part in all hockey related activities except for contact, which is a very positive sign as this will allow Eichel to test out his back and get himself closer to game shape before joining the Golden Knights.
Emily Kaplan also shares the expectation is that Eichel will join the Golden Knights in approximately 3 weeks as he works himself closer to the lineup.
The arrival of Eichel will be a welcome one for some but Vegas will also be forced to make at least one corresponding roster move to become cap compliant.
