Well this is a crazy story but the Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has been rumoured to be wanting to purchase a NHL franchise.
No it's not the Toronto Maple Leafs, but ironically this team is also from Ontario. That's right Justin Bieber could possibly be purchasing the Ottawa Senators.
This comes after the recent news of Ottawa Senators owner passing away. Since then the hockey world has been wondering what will happen with the Ottawa Senators franchise? Are they staying in Ottawa or could they possibly be getting to relocated to Quebec or Houston.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is supposed to be meeting with the family of Eugene Melnyk in the coming weeks. As for Justin Bieber, Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman revealed on their podcast that the pop star has been thinking about buying a NHL franchise previously.
Their was rumours that Bieber made an offer previously to the Arizona Coyotes for the purpose of relocation but that hasn't been confirmed.
Friedman Shared:
Justin Bieber has kicked the idea around on the idea to buy the Ottawa Senators.
Selling will be a decision up to daughter's of the Melnyk family.
