The ongoing playoff series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning has garnered a lot of attention from viewers due to the intense rivalry between the teams. The animosity between them began during last year's playoffs and has only intensified this season.
During the third period of their Saturday night game, tensions between the teams reached a boiling point. Morgan Rielly and Brayden Point got into an altercation, which quickly led to other players joining in and engaging in physical altercations on the ice. The chaos spilled over to the benches, where players were seen shouting and pushing each other.
Luke Schenn, who was brought in by Toronto to provide leadership and physicality, demonstrated his value to the team during this game. Although he remained mostly silent throughout the exchange, he did not shy away from throwing a few jabs of his own. In one particularly savage moment, Schenn directed a comment towards Brandon Hagel that left many viewers shocked.
Jeannot: Schenner, we're going again!
Maroon:.We're gonna f-ing k*ll you [Schenn]
Schenn: Jeannot's f-ing irrelevant.
Hagel: Who?! He's irrelevant? Holy f-k, you f-ing stink. You f -ing stink at everything.
Schenn: "At least I'm worth the f-ing trade"
