In what looked like it was going to be a resurgence season for the Blackhawks after improving in what looked like every area in the offseason. Getting a Norris calibre defenceman in Seth Jones, getting a vezina winning goalie in Marc-Andre Fleury, getting your captain Jonathan Toews back after missing a year with injury, and another year of development for young stars like Alex Debrincat & Dylan Strome, this team has to be a playoff team right? Wrong.

This season has been really hard on some Hawks players, especially Toews who is used to his team being a cup calibre team. On many occasions he has spoken to the media about how he wants his team to be a competitive team, not a rebuilding one. He also recently called out his new General Manager about not speaking with him before declaring that the Hawks are entering a rebuild.

Well, last night those emotions got the better of Toews as he lost it on his teammates. The Blackhawks were playing the LA Kings and getting hounded. Toews was stuck in his own zone for a shift that lasted 3 minutes and 20 seconds. You could tell he was dog tired and frustrated when he got to the bench and he just let his teammates have it!
