Matt Murray signed with the Senators last summer for 4-years and 25 million dollars, but since that time his play has fallen off a cliff. Since joining the Senators Murray's GAA is on the wrong side of 3 and his S% is sub .900 definitely not numbers you expect from a 2-time Cup Champion.
Last week reports began to circulate that Murray and his representatives were unhappy with how things were going in Ottawa. Not because of Murray's demotion but due to the lack of communication between Sens GM Pierre Dorion and the Murray camp.
But some good news for Sens fans because TSN reporter Bruce Garrioch is now reporting that a conversation between Murray's agent and Pierre Dorion has happened, other than the plan is for Matt Murray to return to Ottawa at some point this season.
Murray finding his game would be the best case scenario for the Senators as their owner is unlikely to spend the money to buy out Murray's contract.
