Just like his dad did, Matthew Tkachuk plays the game of hockey with a lot of skill, but also plays it with an edge. Can beat you on the scoreboard but also isn't afraid to drop the gloves and beat you with his fists.
This offseason everyone is now aware of the dilemma that he forced a trade out of Calgary and ended up with the Florida Panthers. Well, now he is making a name for himself in Florida and just became one of the most hated people by the Boston Bruins.
Last night during a scrum infront of the net, Matthew Tkachuk took a shot at Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron and punched him in the head.
We are all fans, we love that our game has a lot of grit played to it, but there is an unwritten rule in the game that there is just some players you do not touch. You can get them with a body check, but cheap shots like this are something you just do not do.
