Phil Kessel is always the butt-end of any hot dog joke or out of shape joke. The guy does not look like the typical high end NHL player who is lean and fit, but you know what, he doesn't need to be, he is still an incredible player.
Kessel won back to back cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins and and led the team in playoff scoring during the first cup. Kessel even had an impressive 92 points while a member of the Penguins.
He was later traded to the Arizona Coyotes after some rumoured locker-room disputes, where he had been forgotten about for a few years.
Many people believe that Kessel is no longer the player he once was, but even as a member of the low scoring Coyotes, Kessel managed to put up a 52 point season last year.
Kessel is now a member of the Vegas Golden Knights after signing as a free-agent this offseason and by the looks of things, he is in the best shape of his career and looking to prove to the league that he can still produce high numbers in this league.
