Hockey is a game of passion, and with this passion sometimes comes a lot of frustration.

Evan Polei, a player for the Manitoba Moose in the AHL was a little frustrated last night after he was called for a penalty while playing against the Texas Stars, and on his way to the penalty box, he went to aggressively swing and smash his stick off the boards.

Unfortunately, the referee was in the way of his swing and Polei two-hands the linesman directly in the face.

Luckily for the linesman he wasn't too badly injured and was able to finish the game, but Polei was handed a game misconduct for his actions.

He definitely did not intend to do this, and you can clearly see it by his actions after he realized what happened, but as a player you need to be responsible for your actions at all times, especially when you're playing a game with a weapon in your hand and on your feet.

Polei will most likely be facing a heavy suspension for this, regardless of it was intentional or not.
