The Chicago Blackhawks have announced that a defenseman has left the team.
Blackhawks Forward Leaves The Team
Today a report confirmed that a Chicago Blackhawks defenseman has left the team due to personal reasons.
Blackhawks have placed Nikita Zaitsev on the Non-Roster list due to a personal matter. Jarred Tinordi is already out (IR for oblique injury).
Filip Roos called up from Rockford, joining Isaak Phillips on the NHL roster. In a corresponding move, the Blackhawks have called up Filip Roos from AHL Rockford. As of now, there is no timetable for how long Nikita Zaitsev will be away from the team.
Replacing Zaitsev In Chicago
Zaitsev played 5 games this season in which he averaged 10 to 15 minutes a night. With the Tinordi injury, the Blackhawks defense could look significantly different from opening night. It seems as though Filip Roos will get an opportunity to get in the lineup at some point.
Roos is a 24-year-old left-handed defenseman who has 17 games of experience from last season. In the AHL Roos had a strong showing with 4 points in 10 games.
