Currently the three teams all have top 10 draft picks that could be moved around: The Montreal Canadiens (who pick 1st, 26th & 33rd), the Columbus Blue Jackets (who pick 6th and 12th) and the New Jersey Devils (who pick 2nd).
Regarding trade rumor involving #GoHabsGo #CBJ and #NJDevils - Been told teams are also looking to swap picks. Devils are picking second, #Habs are picking 1st and 26th while Columbus are picking 6th and 12th.
Doubt it would involve any of these picks but you never know. Patrick Lortie (@patrick_lortie) June 15, 2022
So if these trade rumours are true:
Montreal trades: Josh Anderson and #33 pick
New Jersey trades: #2 pick
Columbus trades: #6 & #12 picks
Montreal gets: #6 pick
New Jersey gets: Josh Anderson & #12 pick
Columbus gets: #2 & #33 picks
So if I get this correctly
Habs trade Anderson and #33
NJ Trade #2OA
CBJ Trade #6 and #12 OA
Habs get #6 OA
NJ gets Anderson and #12 OA
CBJ gets #2 and #33 OA
That's.. pretty good for each team really Matt Godbout (@Habitforming1) June 15, 2022
I actually really like this for all organizations. Montreal gets a higher draft pick to help with their rebuild, Columbus gets a future star player, and New Jersey gets a top 6 power forward they're missing and still a top 15 player.
