Unfortunately for him, some injuries have derailed his career lately and despite stating on multiple occasions that he wants to make an NHL return, it sounds like now that his career is most likely over.
If Carey Price retires, it will have some pretty serious implications to the Montreal Canadiens salary cap, so we probably will not see that happen, but it is most likely that he does not pass his physical again and just stays on LTIR.
Carey's wife Angela was interacting with fans on her Instagram page, having a QnA, and someone asked a question about their future in Montreal:
The Price's have been staying in Montreal, despite not playing, to remain active with the team but since he is on LTIR, it is not necessary to remain in Montreal.
Angela had this response to her question online:
Both Angela and Carey are from the West Coast, so when Carey's career is over, it makes sense for them all to move home.
There has not been many updates on the health of Carey, but the rumours have been that his knee isn't quite healing the way everyone would like from the treatments.
It's very unlikely that Price plays in the National Hockey League again, but if we do see him make a comeback, he will be one of those players that everyone in the league will be cheering him on!
