After going 62nd overall to the Chicago Blackhawks back in 2021, Colton Dach was hoping to show Team Canada what he could do this year at the World Juniors, but unfortunately just like his brother a few seasons ago, his stint with Team Canada has come to a quick end.

Last night against Team Sweden, Dach tried to throw a bit hit on a Swedish player and something was definitely not right. He immediately began reaching for his arm in pain.

It has now been announced that Dach will miss the remainder of the tournament and Montreal Canadiens draft pick Owen Beck will take his place.

Colton Dach was drafted 62nd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2021 NHL Draft. The 6'4 Alberta native is the young brother of Montreal Canadiens' forward Kirby Dach. Unfortunately for the Dach Family, their string of bad luck at the World Juniors continued after Colton suffered a significant injury.

During last night's game against Team Sweden, Colton tried to throw a big hit along the side boards. Unfortunately as soon as he threw the hit it was clear something was wrong. Dach slumped over, grabbed his arm and was in clear distress.
