As many of you may know, not long did Brock last his father to cancer, so this was a very important night for him.
There have been many rumours at where Boeser could be traded to, but nothing has been public yet on an interested team, but teams have been scouting the Canucks for sure:
Don't know how much (if anything) it has to do with Brock Boeser, but there are as many NHL scouts at Rogers Arena tonight as I've seen all season. I counted 11 teams represented.— Iain MacIntyre (@imacSportsnet) December 6, 2022
It has been reported though that the Canucks are willing to accept less than fair value in return for Boeser, which we speculated is because they need the extra cap room to re-sign captain Bo Horvat.
Elliotte Friedman however believes that one team in the Eastern Conference would be a perfect fit for this young sniper. On his 32 Thoughts Podcast, he shared that a fit for Boeser might be the Washington Capitals who could ''use a jolt':
Mantha hasn't quite worked out for the Capitals since trading a chest of gold to get him, and with the team missing a few of their best players right now, they really need a player who can provide some secondary scoring, which Mantha has not been able to do this season.
Friedman's personal opinion is the Caps could potentially be a trade partner for Boeser. Anthony Mantha's cap hit is slightly lower and has one fewer year left. There's no clarity regarding Backstrom's availability yet either. #canucks— BuckFoston (@BuckFoston_) December 8, 2022
It could be a perfect match for the two teams.
