It's been a very exciting year for the waiver wire, we have seen numerous first round picks placed on waivers and also some big names like Wayne Simmonds and Nick Foligno.
Yesterday the New York Islanders placed 2016 first round pick Kieffer Bellows on waivers, and today it was announced that he got claimed by the Philadelphia Flyers.
In other news, two veteran players signed one-year contracts today and have been placed on waivers.
The New York Rangers signed Ben Harpur, who spent the last few seasons in the Nashville Predators organization:
The Seattle Kraken signed Chris Gibson, who last played in the NHL in the 2020-21 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning:
