The "perfection line" is not so perfect at the moment. So where does the team go from here?
The New Jersey Devils expressed they are a team that wants to start winning now, and having won the draft lottery and getting the second overall pick, they mentioned it could be available if the return is an impact player who can help the team win now.
The Hockey Writers website suggests that the Boston Bruins trade David Pastrnak to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for the 2nd overall pick.
The Bruins are very close to needing to rebuild, so why not start now? If Patrice Bergeron announces his retirement, Charlie Coyle is the best option they have at center, and Coyle is a third line center at best. If the Bruins land the 2nd overall pick and select a top prospect like Logan Cooley, Jonathan Lekkerimaki, Brad Lambert, or Matthew Savoie who all play center, or choose to go with Juraj Slafkovsk who is projected to go second, this team has a good start at the rebuild.
What do you think, should the Bruins do it?
